Am I allowed to bring musical instruments?
This service is not possible for flights operated by Freebird (FHY).
Taking your instrument as hand luggageYour instrument and its case must fit within these dimensions:
- Length: 55 cm
- Width: 20 cm
- Height: 40 cm
- Maximum weight: 10 kg
Remember, you're allowed 1 piece of hand luggage only.
If your instrument is larger
You can still bring it in the cabin by purchasing an extra seat.
- There's no weight limit for this option
- your instrument can be up to 150 cm tall.
- Book an extra seat through our contact service.
You can also have your instrument transported separately in the hold
• Always complete the special baggage form if you are transporting the instrument separately
• If you are taking the instrument in your suitcase as hold luggage, you do not need to complete this form.
• If the total weight (instrument + standard baggage) exceeds your allowance, you will be charged for excess weight
• You can book extra weight in advance
